A MUST FOR DILUTE PUPPIES
Blues & Isabellas ( fawn )
I start my puppies on Dietary Enzymes - comes in pet treats or granular ( for multiple pets).
I would ask / require that all puppy buyers continue their new pups on this excellent nutritional product for the rest of their lives. You may prefer the treats instead of the granular.

Nzymes - is Dietary Enzyme in a chewable healthy pet treat or in granular form. Nzymes put the "living component" back into a cooked, processed, stored dog food. Enzymes in foods are heat sensitive and therefore lost in processing/cooking of all commercial foods or making home cooked diets. As owners we must put dietary enzymes back into the diet in order to maintain proper wellness and not deplete the body of this important resource. This can be done by the addition to your diet of a product called Nzymes, a chewable pet treat, or granular form which can be sprinkled on the food to replace what was lost. In other words, Nzymes provide the body with the right nutrients to allow the body to make the chemicals necessary to detoxify (clean out) the body and repair itself.

Nzymes helps with the following:

  • Allergic reactions
  • Natural anti-inflammatory ~ so you can avoid risky medicines like Rimadyl
  • Arthritis
  • Orthopedic problems ~ HOD, OCO, Pano, Wobblers, Hip Dysplasia, ACL
  • Epilepsy and Seizures - due to vaccine reactions
  • Vaccine reaction prevention
  • Cleanses residual toxins from medicines, flea and parasite preparations.
  • Boosting the immune system
  • Reduces shedding
  • Itchy ears
  • Yeast infections
  • Bladder infections
  • Hotspots
  • Reduces healing time from injury, surgery (cropping/bloat/c-sections)
  • Reduces recovery time from anesthesia.

Nzymes are from sprouts (food) so they do not conflict with diet or any medications. By incorporating Nzymes into the diet, you are putting back the "living component" into the modern processed and cooked diets. This gives the body the tools it needs for repair and good health.

BLUE'S & ISABELLAS (FAWN)
Puppy Pimples/Postules

As a dilute puppy's immune system is lowered or compromised during a growth spurt it will sometimes develop small bumps on the head and then lose hair at the bump site making the crown of the head seem moth eaten. This will go away completely in a few months time as your puppy becomes stronger and his immune system kicks into gear. The bumps do disappear and the hair will fully grow back. This is a puppy problem only and does not seem to affect the adult.
Treatments for Puppy Acne
Standard treatment is the use of a topical gel which contains 5% benzoyl peroxide which may be used daily on impacted areas. Benzoyl peroxide (found in OTC acne meds which you can use ) is antibacterial and also has follicular flushing properties. However, prolonged use may cause excessive drying of the skin and subsequent irritation. Having puppy on MiraCoat03 and spraying with emu oil will also help skin.
Topical antibiotics (such as mupirocin) may be required to avoid or limit secondary infection.
Routine:  Clean puppy head with water and then dab with a cotton ball dipped in a mix of 1 cap Apple Cider Vinegar to 1 cap water. Let dry and then put the topical on.

In adult dogs a condition called ALOPECIA ( thinning of the coat ) may show up if your dog's immune system is lowerd or if it is not on a proper diet.

This is a MUST HAVE product for me. It is Nu Stock Topical. This has amazing healing properties. I have used it for open wounds and cuts and severe scratching from bites etc. and every time the area has completely healed within 2 weeks time.  The area is so fully recovered you cannot tell anything was ever wrong. The skin comes back soft and supple and even the hair grows back nicely. Fantastic. Here is a link but I order from kvvet.   http://www.nustock.com/merchant.ihtml?cid=4&step=2

What I use to control Fleas and Heartworms

People ask me what I use for these problems. I use Ivermectin 1% as a heartworm preventative ( in correct dosage ) and for flea and tick problems I use these products - Frontline Plus Topical or Advantage Topical, or chewable Comfortis. I do rotate these products every few months - Frontline Plus is used during tick season. We live in the woods were pests abound so I use what I know works.

Vaccines

There are several articles and photos of vaccine reactions at this website. You need to know how to prevent vaccine reactions, because vaccine reactions in some breeds will kill your dog in a slow agonizing death known as Immune Mediated Response, which is always misdiagnosed as HOD. So, here is info:
